Rated 5 out of 5 byEmilio2000 from Good price for tabloid printerHigh quality color prints on tabloid size paper. What's there not to like? The printer is a bit heavier and bulkier than it seems in the pictures. It worked well out of the box on regular letter sized paper. But changing the paper type or size is not very intuitive. I first wanted to change it in the Settings on the control panel, but the settings only shows you what has been selected and it doesn't allow you to change it. Strange. I had to call tech support to find out that the printer asks you to confirm or change settings each time you open and close the paper tray. On the positive side, the printer allows you to specify the color of the paper you are printing on (such as yellow, or ivory, or many other colors) and then it automatically subtly adjusts the print colors to adjust to the different backgrounds. On the negative side, everything has to be just perfect or it won't print. If there is even the slightest mismatch in the color or type of paper, or if you forget to set for an envelope in both the paper type and paper size, the printer refuses to print and there is no way to manually over-ride it. I wish I could tell the printer: "Yes, I am aware of the mismatch, but I want to print it anyway." But there is no way to do that. The printer has a mind of its own and it won't allow you to trick it or work around it. This may be good for the best quality print, but it can be very frustrating when you would prefer to over-ride it. I guess that's one of the potential perils of future technology where robots (and printers) will just be too smart for us and will refuse to follow your command. This printer is a good example of that. You have to play by its rules. It won't play by yours. Still, overall, it's a good printer, once you learn to play by its rules.

The administrative team at Xerox dropped the ball again though, as always. I am still struggling to get the promised rebate on my new equipment, have NO idea where I am in the process, and am pretty certain I will never receive it.

THERE ARE VERY FEW PRODUCTS OUT THERE THAT MEET OUR NEEDS [11x17, COLOR, WIFI CAPABLE LASER PRINTER]. MY RESEARCH FOUND THE XEROX C7000 TO BE THE BEST VALUE FOR THE MONEY. BUT I STILL CAN'T GET THE TRAY TWO [8-1/2x11] PAPER TO WORK. I HAVE TO USE THE BYPASS TRAY. I'M WAITING FOR TECH SUPPORT TO EMAIL BACK. IT'S A BUMMER THERE'S NO CHAT OPTION FOR TECH SUPPORT ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING HOW MUCH I PAID FOR THE MACHINE.

Rated 5 out of 5 byFooDog from Great 11x17 printerI am a small architectural firm that was seeking an 11x17 laser printer for checksets, presentation/graphics documents and field note drawings (didn't need drawings bleeding to illegibility in the field when it rained). Use is light and this printer fits the bill both budget and production wise. Output speed is perfect, and the printer has performed flawlessly since I received it. Price point was great. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 byNick29 from Fair printer for quick easy simple office printouts. This printer is fairly expensive for the quality and speed it offers. Our unit had streaks and lines printing since the first week we got it. We clean the unit per customer service instructed with a wand provided but still have the same problem. Colors are not really accurate for creative purposes. This printer is not for creative or marketing purposes. Maybe everyday office printing where color might not be as important.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDavidp from Super slow control panelThe control panel is very slow on this machine. Touch screen but you have to wait between selections. The other feature that is really annoying is you have to tell it what the paper is every time you open a drawer or use the bypass - even if you are loading the exact same papers. The machine "works" fine. The copies are clear. But it is very frustrating machine to operate.

Rated 5 out of 5 bypmemp from not quiteThe printer has nice features, it prints relatively fast, and it can accommodate 11x17 paper size, which is rare for the price point. Printouts are quite nice, toner is expensive but per page it's not as bad as others out there at this price point. There are some issues that makes it not optimal. The printer is slow on startup. It takes about 2 minutes before it can start up and take jobs.It has all sorts of issues with InDesign. They've fixed it with a firmware that's not publicly available, but it took us a lot of frustrated hours to have that resolved. The printer is very sensitive to paper size and paper type. If it's off, it will give you an error or the paper jams. This thing is also huge and very heavy.Overall it's an ok printer if you absolutely need 11x17 and good quality printouts and relatively cheap cost per page.

Rated 5 out of 5 byENI2018 from Great for a small business...who also is looking to have the ability to make duplex, tabloid brochures in colorWe bought this model to replace the Phaser 7660 we had used for almost a decade. It's a great replacement. The only difficulty we have had is the drivers that came with the machine and the color correction. Don't use the included drivers, go to Xerox's website and download! As for the color correction, everyone is different and so we had to play a lot to find the right color we liked when printed that matched our logo, etc. I would definitely recommend this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 byBill from Great Printer But.........The VersaLink C7000 is a great printer. However it does not duplex. For a printer at this price point, we should be able to print on both sides of the paper. The biggest draw back, and the only reason I would not recommend this printer, is the toner price. The toner cartridges are over $300 each!!! We go through a set every 6 months. That is over $2400 a year in toner. We can buy an extra monitor every month at those costs.

Rated 5 out of 5 byAnderson3250 from A great printer with finishing capabilitiesWe purchased this printer for the range of print sizes and for its ability to staple. The print quality is great, but make sure you have your media type selected as there is no wiggle room on media selection. The cost per print is higher than that of other printers in the same pricerange, but that is the trade-off for the wider selection of paper size and finishing.

Rated 5 out of 5 byMiz_M from WOWWhat a difference this printer makes for our home office, compared to any HP or Brother printer. Set up was quick, and simple. We were a bit intimidated by it's size, and have found it better suited to sit on the floor than on a counter top, but our printed projects are beautiful and the full tabloid options make running a freelance graphic design business SO much easier. We are going to invest in a few other trays, at some point, but for now it's a wonderful piece of equipment!

It prints great and it is a pretty fast printer, but if you are on a budget you may want to steer clear of this one. The cost per print is significantly higher than most other printers of its class.

Rated 5 out of 5 byJonathan from Great performance, but a little finickyIt is a great printer as long as you can deal with getting the setup just right. Printer properties at the computer must agree absolutely with settings on the device. That may sound reasonable. But it is a pain any time you want to set up a job that is not just printing to plain paper. Consumables are a bit expensive, so you might not want to us it for huge jobs. But the printer itself is a good workhorse, and doesn't complain about long jobs. Alignment tor double sided work is excellent, better than many previous printers I have had where this was never right. Alignment consistency for the duration of a job is also very good. This means that if you are doing work that will be precisely cut, this printer is on your side, rather than working against you. I use CorelDraw a lot, but have found it very difficult to get print settings right for printing directly to this printer. However, if I print to a pdf, then print the pdf, it works find, and I do not see loss of quality resulting from this. Annoying, but it is something I can deal with. Overall, no regrets buying this printer. In short, it is a printer that delivers great results, but whose setup is tricky.

Rated 5 out of 5 byCF from The print quality is fantasticI have had this printer for a few years now. The quality is fantastic. The cost per page is quite manageable. I have the printer on an ethernet network at my house. More often then I would like, the printer loses its connection to the network. To be fair, it is not really the printer's fault. I have typical issues with a home network which causes the IP address to change from time to time. When this happens, the printer is not able to "follow along" to the new IP address. Once I determine this is the problem, it always takes me awhile to correct it. If this printer were located in an office, where a competent person was responsible for IT support, I doubt they would mention this at all. If, however, you are using it at home, and you yourself are not super knowledgeable about networking, then you could find this a bit frustrating. Overall, though, I highly recommend this printer and would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 bypslavens from Love the print quality but had issues with duplexingI am a book publisher for custom, small-run books. It is extremely important that all the pages duplex correctly. When I owned a Xerox Phaser 7100, the duplexer never gave me any issues. With the Versalink C7000, I cannot trust that the pages print correctly. I have to check every single page to ensure that it did not pull through two pages at the same time, such that two pages are printed on one side and blank on the other side. When you're printing a 365-page book, this is a lot of additional work.

Constantly errors if they don't match and then deletes pending job. It is a very very technical printer that is not at all ideal for changing paper sizes / envelopes / types. Hard to get settings to agree and then it's even harder to undue and return to normal. Not for an amateur.

Rated 5 out of 5 byzirtnin from This product should be recalled by the manufacturerThis is a follow-up to the review that I left in Oct 20. A service guy was called after talking to tech support. The unit was still under warranty at that time so it was a free service call. The service guy came out and he was very nice but didn't have any knowledge of this particular machine. I had to show him how to remove the developer which was funny. He replaced the toner and the machine didn't work he then ordered a new developer and in a few days returned to put that in. The machine now worked. Hurray for now but not for long. In about a month the black cartridge said it needed to be ordered but the machine had only printed 883 prints total from new. The black cartridge had plenty of toner left in it. The next day I called tech support as I knew the same thing that happened with the yellow was happening with the black. The unit was now 2 days out of warranty. Tech support after a lot of conversation finally agreed to send me a new black cartridge but would not send a developer which I was sure it needed. The next day the machine turned on and said the the black toner cartridge was empty but I had not printed anything. My cyan and magenta cartridges still say that they are 70% full and the yellow was still 100% since it was replaced in oct. A few days later I got the replacement black cartridge and put it in. The machine said that the new oem cartridge that was sent to me needed to be replaced. I am sure that the same thing happened with this black developer as what happened with the yellow. It plugged or the connection between the two plugged and told the machine that it was empty. I called tech support and this time they would only send a technician at my cost which was unacceptable or I could take the heavy machine to a local service center at my cost which is also unacceptable. This machine has an ongoing problem and it needs to be repaired by the manufacturer actually it should be recalled if the company wants to still sell to corporations. This is very very very poor customer service. The machine is probably going in the trash. The cost per sheet in this machine has been $1.69 which I frankly cannot believe. This is unbelievable. Would you buy one??? Would you be happy with the durability of this??

Rated 5 out of 5 byKeepsake from A Total DisasterLet me say the only reason I gave 1 star for speed is because I was never able to get a complete job off the printer. I purchased the Versalink C7000 after CAREFULLY reviewing all of the specs regarding media weight it was supposed to support. I have a desktop publishing business which I operate from my home. My HP printer which I had for 8+ years and never once had a problem that wasn't solvable in very short order finally gave up the ghost. I attempted to replace it with the newer version of the model I had but it was out of stock. Because I was in a situation that I had to have a printer immediately, I researched the various printers available through a very large computer equipment corporation. The sales department at the retailer and I went over specs for several printers and it appeared that the Versalink was the printer for me. First Mistake! When I got the printer home, we set the printer up and loaded the software and printed a sample page and when compared to the page from my old HP printer there was absolutely no comparison - the colors in the photo didn't even come close to matching! I am not a novice at working with printers (I've been in the business for 30+ years). I tried absolutely everything I could think of to get a quality copy for 4 hours. I finally gave up. I called the next morning to the help desk and according to the timer on my phone spent 2 hours and 57 minutes on the phone with three different people in the technical support center only to be told in the end: "I don't think you are going to get what you expected out of the printer"). I had to packup this 120+ pound printer get it loaded back in my car and return it to the retailer. Fortunately, for me, they had received overnight 2 of the HP printers I had hoped to purchase the previous day. I brought one home with me and was up and running with quality product output within 30 minutes of opening the carton. I think my whole Xerox experience was made worse by the attitude of the tect support people who were dismissive about what the specs said and what the reality was. I am so disappointed that no one has even thought to follow up to see if there was anything further that could be done to help solve the problem. I would never recommend purchasing a Xerox printer to anyone!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 byAnna from Love this printerI hesitantly bought this printer to replace a printer that I loved. Turns out, it's better! Color quality, print speed, features, paper types/sizes, it's all great. So far I've yet to find anything bad about it although I'm a little nervous about replacing the ink (it's expensive!) so consider that if you're looking to purchase. That's the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 byseth from Toner and software need improvementWe print only black and white engineering drawings. However, the Cyan toner is out and often makes it a nightmare to print things because it's out. It seems pointless to buy $200 worth of toner just to make a printer work and not even use it. The software and drivers are an absolute pain. The printer has a habit of occasionally disconnecting from my computer and the ONLY way to get it to reconnect is if you delete the printer and try re-adding it. Except Microsoft doesn't automatically pull drivers and the website is basically useless in getting the correct driver. Someone found a tool somewhere that we keep on our server that we use to re-add the printer when needed. It also plays favorites with different computers. My coworkers and I all have the exact same laptops, but some computers work with it mostly fine and others are very temperamental and have to delete/re-add every couple weeks. The xerox print settings software that works in conjunction with windows print settings often crashes when launched and will lock up my machine until i can finally get it closed out.

Rated 5 out of 5 byJeffrey 61 from Class above the restAfter reading several reviews, one left me less than thrilled. But I went and purchased it anyways. It's fantastic. I give this the Siskel and Ebert's "Thumbs Up" award. The color and B&W quality is fine. The support is phenomenal. Easy to administer. A few quirkiness operations, but hey what printer is perfect. My only down side would be the cost of the toner for it. You will not be disappointed for investing in a Versalink printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 bySearch Addict from Toshiba copier is a lot betterThe Xerox sales guy told me how this was a better copier than the Toshiba we had. He lied, the color quality is in no way even close to the Toshiba. When making a color copy with the Toshiba I could not tell the original from the copy, But on the Xerox C7025 it is not even close it a poor quality copy. The Xerox is also very slow, which is a waste of my time. With the Toshiba when I would send something to the print from my computer it would be done printing by the time I walked from my desk to the printer, but the Xerox C7025 is a lot slower. When I get to the printer it like it is still a sleep and I end up standing there wasting time waiting.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDepe from Problems with a brand new printer.Versalink C7025. The problem is the same color on the left and right sides of the paper are not the same. It is red on the right and orange on the left. It should be red M 100% Y 100%. It's the same with other colors, red is just an example. the printer is brand new. The service tells me that this is normal because this is an office printer. If I want the print to be good then I need to take C 60/70. For me, this is a complete disappointment from the Xerox printer and the service explanation. I tried the same file on the cheapest home printer and the print, unlike the Versalink C 7025, is excellent. I have been in the printing business for more than 20 years and I know what and what kind of printing should be on a color laser printer, especially when it is completely new.

Rated 5 out of 5 byEug61 from Immensely frustratingIt is very complicated to use a custom sized paper in the by-pass tray. Very very frustrating. For example, we wanted to print on a 8 x 10 cardstock paper. ... We changed settings in the actual printer, and still won't print. It just boggles my mind how a good company could be so illogical in the internal programming of a printer... I went out of my way to put in this review. Our copier/printer is so logical that it automatically adjusts as it sees best.

Rated 5 out of 5 bycheekyb from I really like this printer!I use this for my business, and since I often have a lot to print, it's pretty efficient. It doesn't take long for it to start up and it prints really well for what I need it to. I would recommend this to any small business, as it's well worth the money!

Rated 5 out of 5 byAgricola from Great Value--Very ImpressiveI am very impressed by the quality of this printer. The quality of printing is extremely good--art graphic quality. The speed is great. The bonus is the large sizes of paper that the printer can use along with built in duplexing. Some quirkiness for bypass tray, but any printer has its quirks. You learn how to work with it. Worth the purchase. Very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 bydjscuttle from Good Print Quality, and Speed for the Price, but had some issuesI ended up buying this printer for a business that never really took off, so it ended up becoming mostly a personal printer, printing at a low volume. Both times a toner has gone empty, I attempted to replace with factory toner direct from Xerox, and both times the new replacement toners read at 0%. Very frustrating considering they are about $340 each. The printer was under warranty, so I initially called out a tech who explained that maybe the toner powder had clumped up.. He cleaned out the machine and gave me a new toner cyan that registered at 100%, but after 5-6 prints it went to 50% where there after it has stabilized. The second time I had to replace yellow the same thing happened. He came out again and he also mentioned some motor that advances the toner material was slipping, but there was no part number to order a new one. But it seemed to still print so we left it at that. Now most of the toner has gotten low again and I'm afraid what will happen when I go to replace them, because the unit is now out of warranty and probably not worth fixing. This has been a hassle for a machine that has less than 1k clicks total. So to recap $1300 for unit + 2 toner cartridges at $339 , I've printed 1000 sheets and now all my toner is low again. So that means an additional $1300 minimum at some point in the near future, and chances are the issue will happen again, in which case it will prob cost an additional $300 for the tech visit. BTW I am just printing normal documents, not much color or photos. I'm going back to my hp inkjet due to a much lower cost per print. It's worth noting that I have seen similar stories over and over in reviews with this particular model so probably best to avoid it or any other unit on a similar platform.

Rated 5 out of 5 byTim from Awesome Upscale Printer for Home OfficesI am an engineer and I use my office in my home for most of my work. I love the ease of making 11" x 17" color prints of engineering drawings, which was the primary reason why I chose this printer. I've also found that I like being able to quickly make two-sided copies of large reports.

Rated 5 out of 5 byFooDog from Great valueI'm a small architectural firm got tired of inkjets drying up and prints bleeding if i had to have them out in the rain. I was looking for a laser printer that could print 11x17 for a reasonable cost. the printer fits the bill. It's reliable, great quality prints, and you can't beat a laser. I've had it for about 3 years now, and use it on the light side. it's needed no outside maintenance. My one complaint is I wish I didn't have to doublecheck papersizes before printing with what's loaded in the tray (I didn't get the dual tray)- you've got to make sure you change the settings from what your default is if you switch paper in the tray.

Rated 5 out of 5 byZirtnin from Horrible longevity stay away from this oneThis printer worked great for 11 months before failing. First got message that I needed to order a yellow cartridge. I had printed 852 pages total on the machine mostly black type. All the other cartridges showed 75% plus full. I then got the message that the cartridge was empty after I printed a couple more test pages. I replaced the cartridge and it still said the cartridge was empty and the machine was now making a loud clicking like it was trying to turn something and it was stuck. After some research I saw that the toner feed auger can get plugged with toner and cause clicking. I removed and cleaned out the old toner out of the auger and did see some chunks fall out. I replaced all the parts and turned it on again it ran without clicking and again the cartridge said it was empty. I again replaced the cartridge with another and now the unit says to order another cartridge because toner low! It now prints but will not print any yellow. I will call tech support on Monday but don't expect much we will see. A commercial printer should last more that a few months before failing. This is entirely not acceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 byBernie247 from You can't get better print than thisThis printer sits neatly and quietly in the office. It integrates well with the daily workflow, allowing ease of use for what we need to print. There are many useful features that can be used to enhance productivity, allowing great presentations for the office and customers alike. Maintenance is simplicity itself, it tells me in advance what it needs - so stoppages are a thing of the past. Why can't others be this simple yet so powerful?

Rated 5 out of 5 bycaroly from Always quick and beautiful prints! Our company purchased this printer a few months back. We have had not one problem with it except once in a great while, a paper jam. Usually, the due is because of someone not filling the paper tray correctly. I love our machine and will recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 byHarpsichordist from A solid printer at a reasonable priceGood print quality, good speed, good paper handling. The main problem is getting the settings right. Some frustration with double sided printing the wrong way up. It would be great if the printer could take the settings entered in the print dialog, but actually these both have to entered and they have to match perfectly. Despite these shortcomings, I am happy with this printer.
