Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture Horrible Applications and SupportI bought this product to Stream movies and watch on our screen porch as it said it was a Smart Projector. The picture quality is pretty good even in daylight, amazing at night. But to my surprise, you cannot download Amazon Video, HBO Max, Disney+ and a few other streaming Apps. What good is it to have a smart projector if you have to hook up other devices to watch movies. It is like LG is intentionally blocking these apps as you cannot even watch through the built in Browser. LG Update your Software to allow these apps.

It does not have the best sound but it has blue tooth so an external speaker was used and it worked out very well. Not the least expensive but has great features. Tripod connected easily battery life is ok for a short period of time

The only improvement needed for this projector is the speaker output & the remote control. The built-in speaker is not so great for a mini theater environment. You will need a better surround system. For the remote control, it will be better if it has light on the buttons as it is very difficult to locate the remote control button in the dark environment. Overall, I am happy with this projector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AmazingWhere do I begin, although my PF50KA cinema projector is small it’s competing with the much bigger ones and it’s winning in the quality of the picture department!!! Since it is a travel sized projector the sound quality itself isn’t as Loud as I would want it to be. However, if you have a Bluetooth speaker it helps a lot. I would highly recommend this projector if you don’t want to spend thousands on a bulky equipment.

Brightness is perfectly fine for my use, considering I usually use it in a low light dimmed environment. The battery usually lasts just over an hour but I usually prefer to have it plugged in. An option to remove the battery would have been great. The WebOS interface is way out of date compared to LG TVs. Its lacking popular app support for Disney plus, Prime Video and others. It's not bad if you couple it with a Chromecast, but I paid the extra to have it built in. Recommended if they release a firmware update, but overall if looking for something portable with good resolution, then you cant go wrong with this one.

We bought this mini beam projector based on the outstanding performance of our other LG products and low price point but was instantly blown away by the awesome picture quality. Our Kids and party goes enjoyed the videos streamed from Netflix and from the external drive I hooked up via available USB 3.0 and USB C ports. The picture quality was crisp and accompanied with our external Sony Bluetooth speakers it was a great outdoor movie experience. In closing, after the party, we still use this projector for backyard screenings off our deck and the family loves the overall experience streaming and viewing while taking in fresh air under the stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product from LG except few minor issuesBelow is my findings after using it for almost a month.Pros:Youtube, Hulu and Netflix is there so that's a plus. Builtin speakers are sufficient if you are used to of TV speakers. Battery option is good as well.Very light weight.Great clarity.Easy to operate.Cons:USB C type doesn't work with MacBook Pro for video. In terms of the LG smart apps, there are very limited apps available. Wireless throw from mobile devices is also limited supported as it really depends on the apps.It doesn't have horizontal keystone correction. So it has to placed in center to display properly.Since lumens is low, it's dim in daylight. So will have to use it in low light conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really goodOverall i really like it!If LG is reading, here are the things that should be added for the next gen: autofocus, picture zoom adjustment, 4-axis keystone correction, webOS 4.0 with google assistant integration, something tho cover the lens and a custom bag included for transportation. Battery and speakers could also be improved but for me personally they are not so important.

Antenna reception for me to watch broadcast tv, apps, wifi and bluetooth.Cons: No interface on the projector. Need it in case you lose the remote or it's dead. Otherwise, you'll have to use your phone. Price should be lower. Audio/speaker should be Harmon Kardon with higher wattage 5 or 10W. No lens cover. No auto focus. Even some 720p Chinese projectors have a UI on the projector to allow users to control the projector.

I hope some software update can be managed as the internal speaker is not strong enough and external speakers are mandatory. I will test the HDMI cable workaround but clearly these days Blue tooth wireless is the way to go.

It does have many features like wireless bluetooth audio, Internet pairing with Fire Stick or Chromecast and TV tuner or coaxial input. Easy to set up once you learn how to use the remote control. I love the size of the unit and the tripod connector which is brilliant idea on LG's part. That way it is easily moved from place to place without an ugly ceiling mount or other space hogging platform.

No need to change the hardware at all.

You can access qnap/nas with the built in apps, iTunes server with ease, The built in tuner is a plus also. You can even use an external usb-c battery pack to charge or extend the viewing time beyond the 2.5hr mark if needed.

I have a smart lg tv and has same setup and i get any app there ..Please update Amazon is like a necessity these days .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little projectorIt ended up being brighter than we expected. With our space we needed a longer throw projector. This one is perfect for our space, we get ~110" picture in our living room with it. The Colors are pretty good for the price and having ARC on the HDMI port is very helpful. Our previous projector bulb was nearing the end of life and the price for getting a replacement was ~1/4 the price of getting this projector then not needing to worry about that.

I bought this to supplement other tv’s in our home and provide for outdoor movie nights. I love the 1080p But with high motion videos there is blurring. The clarity is perfect for today’s high def environment. I would definitely buy again as the smart tv features can make this an easy all in one when on the go. You will likely want a Bluetooth speaker to cover for the lack of spesker Strength. The battery seems to drain even when completely turned off.

Just signing in to the wifi at a hotel is quite difficult. Navigating the menu is also difficult. The LG content store has very limited apps. There's Netflix, Youtube and Hulu, but no Amazon Prime Video. It is supposed to be a smart device but it isn't too smart. Overpriced because of the bad smart features.

I have to connect my Apple TV through the HDMI port to use the Apple mobile devices which means I have to have an AC outlet handy.

Good things: lots of connection choices, you can connect it to HDMI, bluetooth speaker, apple TV, Flash drive, Also Netflix, Hulu and Youtube are pre-installed in projector’s os.I have some recommendations for LG1- the brightness could have been a bit higher, at least 1000 lumens. Right now you can only watch videos in very dark rooms2-USB-C port functionality is a question to me, I tried connecting my macbook 12 inch to the projector with USB-C and projector doesnt recognize my macbook3- Add airplay to it, lots of people have iphones these days. Airplay and iphone mirroring without having to connect an apple TV is a big plus for any projector.4-Add backlit to the remote, as the projector has to be used in dark rooms. The remote could be better-built, sometimes it makes my fingers hurt cause I have to press the buttons really hard

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life and apps are lacking.I purchased this projector for 2 reasons portability and the LGtv OS. The battery is good for maybe one movie. You can't charge it from a powerbank through the USB C port while watching, it won't keep up. I have a regular 55" LGTV and love the OS on it, but on this projector there's only one or two useful app. On my LGTV I have access to all the major streaming apps. Disney+, prime video etc. It's not available on this projector. Thankfully it at least has netflix so not a total loss. Picture and lumens are great for a portable projector.

I had to lower the brightness in a dark room to prevent eye strain2. Light weight but doesn't feel cheap3. Can be easily connected via bluetooth/miracast/Nvidia share. The projector also remembers that it was connected to say a bluetooth speaker so that when you turn it on later, it connects automatically.4. You can use the LG TV app to use your phone as a remote making it easier to type via your phone's keyboard instead of using the clunky on-screen keyboard.The Bad1. The inbuilt speaker is tinny and worse than a good phone speaker. I use my google home as bluetooth speaker for the projector.2. There is no lens cover or case. This is okay for a big projector which you would install somewhere and forget. Since this is marketed as a portable gadget, either a case or lens cover is necessary.3. The menu is pretty laggy. Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds to move to open up the settings.5. The focus ring is a dial with a protruding knob which makes it easy to accidentally change focus. I wish it turned less freely or was sort of ratcheted.The Okay:1. There is no manual keystone correction and the auto correction can be laggy.2. Browser is slow and near useless as it doesn't run flash videos.3. The app selection is poor and there is no support for Amazon prime. The easy connectivity makes this and the slow browser less of a problem.4. You cannot connect a bluetooth mouse or keyboard unless it comes with a dongle (the old fashioned ones) which you plug in to a USB port. The aforementioned LG TV app comes to the rescue where you can use your phone keyboard and as a touchpad.Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I keep the projector in a mini tripod (Manfrotto Pixi Evo) on the floor and project onto the ceiling. This gives a screen of about 70"-80".For a case I highly recommend the Lowepro Dashpoint AVC 80 II. It fits the projector like a glove even though it was designed to carry mini cameras/drones.

The cons are all very minor

The speaker could be louder but the projector works with blu tooth speakers. So I connect my speaker and I have plenty of sound to go with a great picture.

It has a very solid WiDi interface that that works with all of the phones and tablets I've tried. The auto-keystone is very accurate. The picture quality is amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall an impressive display, bulb disappointingI purchased this unit based on the tremendous feedback about portability, battery operation and picture quality. After use, I can unequivocally say it is very portable and has a phenomenal picture for the price. So why a rating of "1" is a great question.The purpose of having a portable projector is to take it and use it someplace other than at home. While 600 lumens is not bright for well lit rooms, it still works. When traveling with a projector I like to carry a spare bulb just in case the bulb were to burn out so I am not out of commission. Well, do not expect to do that with this projector. Your backup plan has to be to have a second projector as you have to return this projector to the factory to get the bulb replaced. This, to me, is a critical show stopping issue for a "portable" projector. While I have not had a problem so far with the bulb, others have reported it burning out well below the 30,000 projected hours...as a matter of fact some are reporting burn out in 100s of hours, not 1000s of hours. Do not use this projector as a road warrior unless you can afford to not use your slides or unless you carry a back up projector with you.

Not really usable in the daylight, only great after dark. I would go five stars but the Bluetooth connection to our speaker always has a delay. We have to use the 1/8" wired connection for it to be in sync with the picture.

Unfortunately, the picture is always blurred and blotchy. Youtube is particularly bad and Netflix so so. I put this down somewhat to the LG Smart TV app, which is VERY slow and often crashes. I own a couple of LG OLED TV's and expected the Smart TV app to be as good as those. No such luck. Playing video files is better but still not sharp enough.Unfortunately, LG service is just terrible. After speaking with a support rep, who was polite but poorly trained, I was promised a return call from next level support, within 2-3 days. Over a week later - nothing.Over the last five years I have spent over 10K with LG in the last couple of years. I am now nervous about my TV's and the lack of service I will get if they go wrong. I have probably made my last LG purchase - this quality of service is not acceptable.

However, it was not clear on information provided by LG that while it has Bluetooth and wireless capabilities, it does not connect directly to Mac/iPhone operating systems. I am unable to directly connect my iPhone/ipad with the projector to stream movies etc, which is why I purchased the projector. I read that AppleTV might allow for this connection; however it is annoying to have to purchase yet another device. Also not clear if there is an app that has the option to purchase movies on the device, as would be cheaper than purchasing something additional. Is there an app that can be downloaded??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Met my expectations, a few issues.Bought this based on good reviews to use in my camper van. The feature set is adequate, battery life is shorter than claimed. (About an hour and 15 min) Picture quality is very good, which drives my overall approval, however the manual focus control is sketchy, go a bit too far and you have to go way back and as a consequence you never really feel like it's completely in focus. The lens has a plastic cover that is easily scratched. At about 6 months, my unit failed and wouldnt turn on. Contacted LG, they provided a shipping label and after about a month received what they said was my repaired unit but appeared to be a new or refurbished unit. Whichever it was, they honored the warranty with no hassles.At about 17 months now the projector performs as new, I would recommend it positively.

Really like how it automatically flips the screen when turned upside down to work on a ceiling mount. Easy to connect to a computer with HDMI, did not have to refer to the manual to get it up and running. We have also taken it outside in the early evening to have distanced movie nights with friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful projector in a small packageFirst, I was prepared for how small the PF50KA projector is. It is tiny! That was a really good thing for us,however, because we did not want to call attention to a projector in our 1898 home. It is bright, sharp, and easy to use. The battery is great if I need to use the projector in an out of the way place. The speakers aren’t great, but they are there for use in a pinch. We use the projector with a four speaker Roku setup anyway for our video watching, so the quality of the internal speaker doesn’t matter. The remote is very detailed and useful, but the projector itself has few buttons. However, it does have a lot of connection options, and that is great. It is extremely quiet and really goes unnoticed until movie time. Though we normally watch movies in the evening, the projector works great during the day with the room as long as there is not direct sunlight pouring into the room. I wish the projector had a zoom feature, but that has not been a big deal for us as it is so easy to move the tiny projector to the position we need. Really a great addition to our household electronics.

Built in audio is slightly quite with mediocre audio, which is to be expected for a portable projector. My only problem is that when connected to a Bluetooth speaker the audio occasionally glitches. This happened with two different speakers and didn’t improve by moving the speakers closer to the projector. Otherwise love the projector. Fairly easy to setup with the additional purchase of a tri-pod.

Could have used an audio out jack to make theater sound 5 .1/7.1 connection easier to do. If had a top screw insert could use ceiling mount for semi permanent install yet easy to unscrew and make portable. Overall fantastic buy for the $.

Not a big deal if you are near power, but on a full charge the battery is only giving about half hour of play when on wireless. Don’t expect a backyard movie night without backup power
