Rated 5 out of 5 by from It solves a problem, and leaves anotherFirst the good stuff!1. You can now plug in all your stuff to your new MacBook Pro or other Mac that only has the USB-C. 2. It has three display output types. The bad. 1. I could not get my external display to work with my new style MacBook Pro until I stopped running the power through this dock. It has a power through port, and while it does charge the machine, the display didn't work unless I plugged the power directly into its own USB-C slot.2. My external USB 3 hard drive isn't recognized while using this.3. I mistakenly thought the Display Port socket was a Thunderbolt 2. Not the product's fault, just be extra aware if you've only just glanced at it and thought it was a Thunderbolt 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crashes and missing devices when using Docking StationWhen using the Docking Station with my 2017 MacBook Pro I experienced several catastrophic failures. First, my MacBook crashed and failed reboot. By disconnecting the Docking Station and all peripherals I eventually got a clean boot. On another attempt, my MacBook lost access to audio and external video devices. Again, multiple non-peripheral reboots got it clean again. The devices plugged in to my Docking Station: VGA monitor, MacBook AC power, Internet, USB-A external harddrive, USB-A Yubikey.I'm back to using a dedicated internet->USB-C adapter and a VGA+USB-C+USB-A adapter, which works reliably.
