My computer has crashed a couple of times, but I was easily able to get my printer up and running again because Canon still has the drivers and MP Navigator software and knowledge base available on its website, which I greatly appreciate. We had purchased a Samsung printer/scanner also and it only lasted a few years (so we replaced it with another Canon. In comparison with Canon, Samsung discontinued its software for the printer shortly after we purchased it, so we had to download a replacement program which had lots of bugs. Long story short, our experience with Samsung printers was terrible in comparison to our experience with Canon. Buying the replacement cartridges from Canon is also very easy and the price is as good as at other retailers.

It is very convenient, and I don't need to ask anyone to help me figure out which ink to buy. I am a 70 year old great-grandma, that's just not very 'savvy' with computers and printers. Thanks, Cannon!! This is the best ink I've tried. The fill-it-yourself was entirely too messy for me, and the cheaper off-brands are not as crisp and clear as the Cannon brands.

Same price or lower than at stores; it should be cheaper if I buy it myself off the shelf at a store. All printer ink is absurdly expensive, and this is no exception. I used to be able to fill my own cartridges, but they put a chip in these cartridges that makes that impossible. Stupid but they have us by the short ones.

It lays down a rich, deep color suitable for this amateur photographers needs. Unfortunately, as with most home printers, the cartridges are too small, even the XL. I print my artwork exclusively on Canon's Platinum paper and get approximately 15 to 18, high-quality, 8.5x11, full-bleed prints.

The boxes and the cartridges have the same product number as my old cartridges. But because I opened the boxes, you will not give me my money back. How was I supposed to that the cartridges were a different size until I opened the box! I find if hard to believe that repackaging to ink cartridges is going to bankrupt Canon.
