I had a cable, but it needed to be a different "gender" on one end. I ordered a proper cable, but got this as a back-up. I am completely satisfied with this "gender-bender"!

Rated 5 out of 5 byRob the Sam from Worked like a charmNo difficulty in using it. I used it to convert a serial cable into a null modem cable. The connection between the cable end and the adapter was solid. Better yet, the connection to the PC was stable without any wriggle.
