It adds nice length to give extra reach and it works better to plug into an outlet that doesn't accommodate the Apple stock, large square wall outlet plug.The only con is that it can be very difficult to remove this extension from the square portion of the charger at first because it is such a perfect fit.

This cable is priced at $20.00 in Best Buy.I need these units to eliminate a safety and Fire hazard to 4 Apple Mac Books. The one I purchased is an excellent, high quality adapter.
